Most pieces of music are copyrighted in at least one way, if not several. The actual tune can be copyrighted, the sheet music to the song can be copyrighted, the performance (on record, CD, computer, etc.) can be copyrighted, and the labels, packages, logos, insignias, posters and other graphics can be copyrighted and/or trademarked.
